STAFF REPORT :::
The murder victim located Wednesday afternoon near the Griffin Municipal Golf Course has been identified as 20-year-old Pierre Parrish, of Locust Grove.
Parrish’s body was located in a wooded area near the intersection of Beck and English streets.
Griffin Police Department investigators believe Parrish’s body had been at that location for several days.
Officials say the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators worked through the night, ultimately identifying and arresting a suspect, 17-year-old Cedravious Wilkerson.
Wilkerson is being held in the Spalding County Jail and is facing charges of malice murder and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.
Authorities allege both Wilkerson and Parrish were members of the same gang – Sex Murder Money – which is a subset of the Bloods.
The investigation is ongoing, and investigators say additional arrests are expected.
