Griffin man reported being struck by “stray bullet” prior to succumbing to his wounds

STAFF REPORT :::

Wildarious Draggs, of D.F. Fuller Drive, was conscious and responsive just before 6 p.m. Tuesday when Griffin Police officers arrived at 1001 Lake Avenue in response to a shooting.

Draggs reported that he had been outside when he was struck by a stray bullet from the southbound direction of 16th Street. He said he did not see anyone in the area when he was shot.

Draggs later died as a result of his injuries.

Also present at the Lake Avenue residence was Rashon Goodrum, who said he did not see anyone in the area and did not know what happened.

Authorities say the investigation is active and additional information may be released at a later date.
