A Griffin Fire-Rescue (GFR) firefighter has been arrested by the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
According to a press release issued by the city of Griffin after the close of business Thursday, the Griffin Police Department on Tuesday notified GFR that a warrant had been issued for the arrest of Kevin Burkholder.
Authorities say Burkholder was transported to the Griffin Police Department, where he was held until the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office took him into custody.
Burkholder has been placed on administrative leave without pay.
